CHALLENGES OF CONDUCTING EFFECTIVE MEETINGS:
As a facilitator of meetings you must
1) FOCUS in the preparation phase;
2) develop FUSION in the meeting phase and
3) identify elements of the FUTURE for the follow-up to the meeting.
Consensus seeking skills and other decision-making options will help
a leader make the most of meetings.
Questions to consider about meetings:
Who should attend?
Do we start on time/stop on time?
Is the meeting for information only or should the participants make
decisions or a combination?
Are attendees notified to be prepared about topics for discussion?
Should the meeting be held at all?
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
All persons who lead meetings from 5 to 5,000 will benefit from this
seminar. Emphasis is on meetings for those who lead weekly staff
meetings.
RESULTS YOU WILL ACHIEVE!
* Enhance your facilitation skills.
* Develop guidelines applicable to any size meeting.
* Be better prepared to address team dynamics.
* Appreciate the importance of arriving at decisions by consensus.
* Identify important issues to address in the preparation phase and
after the meeting.
